Native Chinese vs Chinese-Americans

I’m in China right now and will be there for a while. I’ve already noticed that the Chinese there are very different from the ones in America in their appearance, mannerisms, and the way they talk. Superficially, they are easily perceived as far less “civilized” but my previous blog post asserts that that is actually more of a positive thing. After all, history is full of “civilized” people being ethnically cleansed. In that regard, native Chinese are doing fine, whereas Chinese in America are not.

Actually, the roughness, rudeness, loudness, and aggressiveness of the native Chinese makes them appear much more masculine, in contrast to the stereotypical emasculated Chinese male in America. This is not just the working class in China. Plenty of STEM college educated men in China are like that too. They may not be any physically bigger than the Chinese in America but they appear much bigger and more intimidating. Crudely speaking, the coarser tone and manner of speech in combination with the darker and rougher complexion contributes much to that impression. Most of the Mandarin Chinese I’ve heard from the Chinese in America has been more “proper,” whereas there are plenty of Chinese in Chinese, even smart and educated ones, who speak with a heavy regional accent.

The environment both indoors and outdoors is overall much rougher and dirtier. There is a near ubiquitous lack of external polish but everything is functional, and people are quite accustomed to that environment. That might explain why Chinese in America are easy to bully whereas the Chinese in China can actually stand on their own. Yes, there are plenty of Westerners who bitch about the environment, manners, and system in China, but the people there for the most part could not give a flying fuck. Most even the college educated ones are very limited in their English and they are, unlike the Chinese in America, not white worshipping at all. Their focus is purely on what goes in China and whatever from abroad is purely for their appropriation and enjoyment, not out of any desire to associate with outsiders. As for their less civilized behavior, they seem to have little awareness of it. Even when pointed out, they will not really feel embarrassed. They feel like they are doing fine, and that does seem to be the case. On that, I’ll say that the TV and commercials are of high artistic quality, and yesterday I saw on some channel a segment about how China is now building the biggest, longest, and highest bridges in the world. Moreover, I’m happy to be ever more connected and active on the Chinese internet, which is also quite rich in content and activity the Great Firewall not withstanding. I only expect to go much further in that direction over the next year.

There are plenty of Chinese doing business in China, starting all kinds of stuff. Unlike in America, they deal with almost exclusive people of their own, in their own language, in their own culture. They don’t give a fuck and don’t have to give a fuck about what white people think, with the exception of the business that involves direct contact with the West, which is quite a small percentage of the total really.

As a concrete example, I just had dinner with a few such people. They both had no more than a high school education but were successful enough in what they were doing to drive a BMW. I can only imagine that most of those educated, refined Chinese in the West would view them with disdain. I asked one of them what they thought of Chinese in America. He said they tend to be more polite and more cognizant of their appearance, unlike someone like me. They have 文人气势, the spirit of a literary person. But, according to this words,

An ethnic group must also have 血性, “blood spirit,” otherwise that ethnic group will die out.

He went on about Genghis Khan’s warriors on horses managed to conquer even Russia because they had so much 血性.

Expectedly, I responded that just a few days ago, I wrote an essay about how history is full of examples of civilized people getting conquered by barbaric ones, and that the likes of what he just said was exactly what I was referring to. Following on that, I spoke of how Chinese in America are almost utterly devoid of 血性, and they are indeed dying out, by his logic.

Somebody else spoke of how those white worshipping Chinese in America try so hard to become more white, more Western, which only exudes in them a feeling of inferiority, whereas those uncivilized people in China who don’t give a fuck are actually much more respectable.

Ultimately, that guy concluded that the ideal ethnic group is one that is a mixture of cultured-ness and 血性.

That guy expressed an admiration for Pan Jianwei, that Chinese physicist celebrated for work on quantum satellite and communication, noting how that guy is the same age as he is, and also a zillion times more impressive in both ability and contribution. This was after I pointed out that a guy like him, despite his lack of a real high school education (he studied accounting in a vocational school or something like that), has probably made much more positive economic impact than most of those cultured, educated people. I responded that of course, a real top scientist like Pan Jianwei is different, but there are plenty of “educated” people even PhDs losers who have done much less than he has. I told him that people like him represent 血性, and that the Chinese race is where it is today much out of its having innumerable people like him. Very modestly, he said that he’s actually quite low in 血性.

Not surprisingly, that guy also brought up Mao Zedong, with an emphasis on how unlike Genghis, Tang Taizong, and all those other great Chinese leaders/emperors in his poem Snow he actually proved China to the entire world, through the Korean War.

This land so rich in beauty
Has made countless heroes bow in homage.
But alas! Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti
Were lacking in literary grace,
And Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu
Had little poetry in their souls;
And Genghis Khan,
Proud Son of Heaven for a day,
Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched
All are past and gone!
For truly great men
Look to this age alone

So this, written in 1936 but published only in late 1945 I believe, was quite prescient. I just love how he had enough ego to write that, in such a subtle way, and history proved him right. I do believe that history’s verdict will indeed place him far above the rest.

Overseas Chinese are so stuck in their white worshipping mindset. Many of them have nothing but disdain or even hate for Mao. But it is a guy like Mao that gives China the 血性 necessary to truly rise on the world stage. His detractors, many of them deracinated Westernized intellectuals, love to criticize him for persecution of intellectuals. I think that’s bullshit, especially if you look at what beautiful and everlasting poetry he wrote of such literary and historical substance, from which it’s clear that he was higher than most of those traditional Chinese intellectuals. I’m confident that he had great respect for those intellectuals highly trained and accomplished in modern science and engineering, and I am also for the most part in agreement with his disdain for the type of arrogant status-climbing liberal intellectual with the closed-minded neglect and contempt of all those poor, lowly, and “uneducated” people with 血性, with the the ability and willingness to actually do dirty work under very harsh conditions. As I’ve mentioned before, Mao managed to win because he was able to combined cultured-ness with 血性. His military victories were done mostly with 血性, not with cultured-ness or superior technology. Even with much worse technology, the Chinese under his leadership, fighting their own way full of 血性, could triumph against the most advanced country in the world with nuclear weapons and airplanes. Of course, later on, Mao had those with culture, with advanced degrees in science from the West and from the Soviet Union, or trained purely in their home country willingly developing advanced technology for him. And even as that he happened, he kept emphasizing the importance 工农兵 (workers, farmers, soldiers), the people who keep alive the 血性 necessary for survival. I believe he saw well the great danger of influence from the cosmopolitan intellectual. With too many people like that, you end up like the Chiang Kai-shek and the KMT, utterly ineffectual as an organization. Those types might be the ones who beg or climb their way to power. They are never the ones who actually fight their way to power. There is a league of difference between the two. Mao is so respected and feared precisely because he led the Chinese communists militarily on their way to power, to international recognition.

By the way, I’ve tried to tell this to some misguided Chinese-American activists. By doing so, I’m hinting to them that what they’re doing really is begging their white rulers for more representation. Not gonna work. Makes you look like a pathetic weakling. Even if you get the more representation that you want, you’re still being used as a tool. Like Nikki Haley the white looking female Sikh as double minority figurehead for America and Israel’s imperial interests in the UN. Or all those Chinese females married to white men promoted by Anglo-Zion institutions and media to divide the Asian-American community along gender lines. The reality is that those people bring “diversity” while at the same term reinforcing white supremacy, a double win for the American elite that has realized by now to exploit social justice as the new opiate of the masses.

Expectedly, those people were not receptive at all, which only contributed more to my desire to get the fuck out of America, permanently. In China, the relative of lack of civility initially gave me a somewhat dismal impression but I am very quickly adjusting. It’s mostly a matter of mindset. Meeting and talking with those people today gives me much optimism for China. China has gotten as powerful as it is today not only from the minority of highly smart, educated people in STEM doing the science heavy design for big bridges, Tencent, quantum satellites, and the likes, but also from hordes of superficially uncultured but productive and instinctively “woke” people doing the menial and business labor and projecting a roughness and meanness to ensure the survival and proliferation of Han race and the Chinese nation.

In conclusion, quoting Duke of Qin from Unz Review,

Nice guys finish last. Chinese shouldn’t become “nicer”, they need to get meaner. Atavism is the word of the day and they need to embrace “meanness” to survive in an ever darker world. I’ve seen the behavior of the so-called “nice” Chinese; deracinated compradors with fertility rates below 1 whose primary desire is overpriced real estate and cargo culting the West and miscegenating themselves into oblivion. In other words, an evolutionary dead end. Ill take Henan peasant over Shanghai cosmopolitan any day of the week and twice on Sundays. One of the good things about the Communist Party is that they have universalized Chinese nationalism to no longer be the exclusive realm of educated elites. Next step is to foster a siege mentality of us against the world and project that “meanness” against outsiders. Race War Now.
